About the workshop Series

The Workshop Series on Ethics and Methods in Arctic Transformative Research (WEMA) invite researchers from all disciplines, Indigenous rights holders, policy makers, activists, and others with an interest in Arctic research and research ethics to discuss co-creative and collaborative approaches in Arctic research.

The objectives of the workshops are:

  • To critically reflect on the state of current debate and practice
  • To share and discuss positive and negative experiences
  • To identify issues that require further attention
  • To establish connections and relationships for future collaboration

The workshops’ sessions are based on needs identified as part of reflection sessions that took place during the previous workshops as well as on input received from members of the advisory board and other friends and colleagues. We very much welcome further suggestions and critical feedback throughout the planning process! Please get in touch, we look forward to hearing from you!
